Kunihiko Nakano
Kunihiko Nakano was born and raised in the culturally rich city of Kamakura, Japan. As a young man, he became interested in fine cuisine and took a job as an apprentice in the kitchen at a renowned French restaurant in Tokyo. From that experience his passion for the culinary world grew and carried him through the opening of two restaurants - the first in Japan and the second in Berkeley, California. Soon after the opening of his California restaurant, he started importing Japanese products with the goal of bringing quality products from his homeland to American chefs. He continues to search for the rarest and most exquisite Japanese ingredients for chefs around the country.
